Position Title: Social Media Video Creator
Department: Lives in Transition Program
Employment Type: Part-time (Contract)
Reports To: Regional Manager


Job Summary:

As a Social Media Video Creator, you will be responsible for producing engaging
and creative video content for various social media platforms. Your role is to conceptualize,
script, film, edit, and publish videos that align with the organization’s branding and marketing
objectives. Through visually compelling storytelling, you will captivate audiences, drive
engagement, and enhance the organization’s online presence.


Key Responsibilities:

  1. Content Creation:
     Conceptualize and develop ideas for video content that resonate with the target
    audience and support marketing goals.
     Script, storyboard, and plan the production of social media videos, considering
    visual appeal, messaging, and platform specifications.
  2. Video Production:
     Film and capture high-quality video footage using professional equipment,
    ensuring proper lighting, sound, and composition.
     Direct talent, if applicable, and coordinate shoots to capture dynamic and
    engaging visuals.
  3. Editing and post-production:
     Edit video footage, including trimming, cropping, color correction, and adding
    visual effects or graphics as needed.
     Incorporate music, sound effects, and voiceovers to enhance the overall impact
    of the video content.
  4. Optimization for Social Media:
     Adapt video content for various social media platforms, optimizing formats,
    dimensions, and specifications for maximum visibility and engagement.
     Stay updated on best practices for social media video content and algorithm
    changes to ensure content effectiveness.
  5. Collaboration and Coordination:
     Collaborate with the marketing team, content creators, and other stakeholders
    to align video content with overall marketing strategies and campaigns.
     Coordinate with internal and external partners, including videographers,
    photographers, and talent agencies, as needed.
  6. Performance Analysis:
     Monitor and analyze the performance of social media videos, tracking metrics
    such as views, engagement, and audience retention.
     Use data insights to optimize future video content and strategies for greater
    impact and reach.

Qualifications:
 Bachelor’s degree in film production, digital media, marketing, or a related field (or
equivalent work experience).
 Proven experience in video production, including filming, editing, and post-production
techniques.
 Proficiency in video editing software such as Adobe Premiere Pro, Final Cut Pro, or
similar tools.
 Strong creative vision and storytelling skills, with an eye for visual aesthetics and
attention to detail.
 Knowledge of social media platforms and trends, particularly regarding video content.
 Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively in a
team environment.
